The story
A home built
around contrast
This penthouse began with architecture full of character: two levels, open spaces, black structural elements, natural timber and an upper floor defined by a spectacular exposed wooden ceiling.
Rather than neutralising those features, the interior was designed to amplify them. Warm wood was paired with deep green textiles, black accents, natural fibres and carefully selected Caribbean-inspired details. From the main living area to the bedrooms, balcony and smallest decorative elements, the property was developed as one coherent experience.
The design direction
Natural, tactile,
distinctive
The design language is built around three strong elements: wood, green and black. Natural timber brings warmth and texture, deep forest and botanical greens bring the tropical landscape indoors without relying on obvious coastal clichés, and black metal gives the softer materials structure and definition.
Woven accessories, textured fabrics and handcrafted-looking furniture add another tactile layer. The palette moves between contemporary design and Caribbean character, expressive and distinctive, yet relaxed enough for everyday island living.
The social heart of the home
One open space
for everything that matters
The main floor is the social heart of the penthouse: one open space where cooking, dining, relaxing and spending time together happen naturally. A round wooden dining table softens the geometry of the room, while the staircase remains visible as part of the composition.
Warm timber furniture and woven textures balance the darker sofa, deep green curtains frame the tropical views, and the vertical slat TV wall creates a strong backdrop that visually connects the living space with the staircase and upper level.
Wood, green & black
Three elements,
repeated across the home
Warm wood. Deep green. Graphic black. These three elements repeat throughout the penthouse and create a visual rhythm connecting furniture, architecture and both levels.
The timber wall, green textiles and black staircase structure make the palette and the material logic of the project immediately clear.
Living across two levels
Circulation that became
part of the identity
The staircase does more than connect two floors. Black metal, natural timber and the vertical light installation draw the eye upward and turn circulation into an architectural feature.
On the upper level, a small lounge with a sculptural chaise longue, natural rug and greenery transforms transitional space into another usable zone. Every square metre has a purpose, but it also contributes to the experience of the interior.
The bedrooms
The same family of materials,
two different personalities
The upper bedroom sits beneath the exposed timber ceiling, with a substantial wooden bed, botanical textiles, deep green curtains and a compact workspace.
The second bedroom interprets the same language more sharply, pairing rich green textiles with raw timber furniture and oversized contemporary artwork. The rooms are not identical. A consistent palette allows each one to develop its own character while remaining clearly part of the same home.
Details that complete the experience
A turnkey home
is created in layers
Furniture establishes function, textiles bring softness, lighting creates atmosphere, accessories introduce personality and practical equipment makes the property genuinely ready to use. Shells, woven fibres and subtle coastal references bring in the Caribbean without turning the home into a themed interior.

The result
This penthouse demonstrates how a strong interior identity can grow directly from the architecture of a property. Natural timber, deep greens and graphic black details connect both levels, while furniture, textiles, lighting and accessories give each area its own function and atmosphere.
The result is not simply a furnished apartment, but a complete Caribbean home: warm, expressive and practical, with spaces designed for gathering, resting, working and living both indoors and outdoors.
Natural materials. Bold contrasts. Caribbean soul.
