The story
A calm home connected
to the Caribbean Sea
This project began with a simple idea: to create a calm, complete home that feels naturally connected to its beachfront location. The apartment sits inside Aqua Esmeralda in Dominicus, only moments from the Caribbean Sea, so the interior needed to feel light, relaxed and effortless, but never generic.
Every area was considered as part of one experience: open-plan living, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, terrace and the practical details that make a property genuinely ready to use.
The design direction
Coastal atmosphere
without a literal theme
The design direction is inspired by the location without turning the apartment into a themed coastal interior. Sun-washed neutrals, pale natural wood, woven fibres, linen-like textures and carefully placed green accents echo the tropical surroundings.
Black linear details and touches of warm gold add definition, while sculptural furniture and simple graphic artwork give the space a contemporary edge. The result feels relaxed enough for a beach home, yet polished, complete and intentional.
Open-plan living & dining
One continuous
composition
The open-plan living area was designed to feel spacious, bright and easy to use. A soft neutral sofa keeps the room visually light, while green cushions, natural baskets and a woven floor lamp introduce warmth and contrast.
Rounded coffee and dining tables soften the geometry and help the functions flow naturally into one another. Rather than separating living and dining into distinct zones, the entire space was treated as one continuous composition.
The kitchen
Part of the living space,
not a separate room
The kitchen was designed to belong to the living space rather than sit apart from it. Pale wood fronts, white cabinetry and a clean worktop keep the composition light, while black appliances add subtle contrast.
Carefully selected accessories soften the technical character, and the apartment is equipped for real use, from cooking appliances and tableware to coffee-making essentials. It is one of the clearest examples of the turnkey principle: function and aesthetics working together.
The bedroom
A softer, quieter
counterpoint
A tall upholstered headboard framed in natural wood gives the room presence without heaviness, while layered cream, sand and warm beige textiles create depth through texture.
Symmetrical bedside tables, sculptural lamps and minimal line-art details bring balance and order. The palette remains restrained, allowing natural light and tactile materials to define a calm private space for slow mornings and longer stays.
Beachfront living
The location is part
of the experience
At Aqua Esmeralda, location is not simply a backdrop. The terrace extends the living space outdoors, while tropical landscaping, resort-style pool areas and direct beach access shape the rhythm of everyday life.
That proximity to the Caribbean Sea influenced the whole interior concept: light, uncomplicated and connected to its surroundings.
Details that complete the experience
A turnkey interior is finished
when the property is ready to live in
This project continues into tableware, kitchen equipment, bathroom accessories, towels, decorative objects, lighting, textiles and guest essentials. Bamboo accessories, woven table settings, subtle gold objects, green glass accents and soft decorative textiles reinforce the main design language without overwhelming the apartment.
